Many thanks fror posting this - far superior quality to the version I had.

I have a couple of tracks from Felt's first JL sesh from 1984, which you'll find here:

Thanks.. I think I have that Janice Long session maybe.. I think I have some of the Andy Kershaw one.. A lot of the recordings are bluntly edited because I hated the DJ's talking over the tracks.. Everyone complained about Kid Jensen doing this but I found Dickie Skinner this most annoying...

I know what you mean. My first radio cassete player didn't have a pause button: you had to synch the play and record buttons exactly right otherwise the play button would pop back up. I had many a song intro ruined!

Would be great to hear that first JL sesh in full. Btw, do you have Big Flame's 2nd Peel seesion from Feb 85? I recall they did a cover of Nancy Sinatra's These Boots Are ade For Walking. Never seen it on t'net and is the only one I don't have in completion.

I had a cassette player like that... I just loaded the biG fLAME session with "Boots..." (See the head of the blog..) I think this is close as you can get to impressionist guitar.. It also end so the saddest chord..
